Kier Places appointed by L&Q for Major Works Investment prog

The UK works will span East London.
Kier Places has been appointed by L&Q, one of the UK’s leading housing associations, to its Major Works Investment Programme.

Kier is one of 10 contractors selected to deliver the programme, expected to be worth up to £300m per annum, and which will include a range of services including estate and environmental improvements, planned mechanical and engineering works and internal decorations for L&Q residents. The UK works will span East London, including Waltham, Tower Hamlets, Stratford, Newham, Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham.

Working in partnership with L&Q, Kier Places will also support residents and the local community with a range of social value commitments, such as employment, apprenticeships and skills opportunities. Kier Places will also work with the nine other selected contractors to support a number of local community projects.

Contract mobilisation has begun, with the commencement of services effective from 3 April 2023. 

The appointment follows Kier Places’ recent appointment by affordable housing provider whg to deliver planned improvements to over 4,500 homes in the West Midlands in a £28m contract spanning 7 years.
