AtkinsRéalis is strengthening its Australia and New Zealand footprint through the acquisition of engineering consultancy Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA)

AtkinsRéalis has completed its acquisition of Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA), a multi-disciplinary engineering and project management consultancy 

The deal brings together AtkinsRéalis' global engineering and nuclear capabilities with WGA's regional delivery expertise as a long-standing firm in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

The combined offering is designed to support major infrastructure programmes throughout the region.

A strategic move into ANZ infrastructure

AtkinsRéalis, a Montreal-headquartered engineering services and nuclear company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: ATRL), positioned the acquisition as a milestone in its regional growth strategy.

The acquisition adds approximately 800 WGA professionals to AtkinsRéalis' workforce, extending the company's ability to support clients across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure and development programmes throughout ANZ.

AtkinsRéalis’ key partners

NVIDIA 

 AtkinsRéalis is collaborating with NVIDIA to explore the integration of its technologies, including Omniverse libraries and accelerated compute, into the development and deployment of nuclear-powered, large-scale AI factories. The collaboration reflects growing demand for power-dense infrastructure to support AI compute expansion globally.

Galliford Try 

AtkinsRéalis partnered with Galliford Try to launch a design consultant arrangement giving water industry clients access to design engineering resources to help meet AMP8 programme goals, described as a water industry first for the arrangement's structure and scope.

First American Nuclear (FANCO) 

AtkinsRéalis entered a strategic alliance with Indianapolis-based reactor developer FANCO to jointly develop, test and license its EAGL-1 reactor design. AtkinsRéalis will serve as exclusive engineering, procurement and construction management provider for proposed EAGL-1 reactor, fuel fabrication and recycling facility projects in North America.
