Apogee innovative managed workplace solutions transform TSG Building Services, showcasing digital efficiency potential in global construction sector

Managed workplace services provider Apogee Corporation has partnered with TSG Building Services to enhance the construction company's digital infrastructure.

Apogee's solutions address common challenges faced by construction firms globally, such as outdated technology and inefficient processes.

TSG offers services including maintenance, refurbishment and new builds. Its work with Apogee is designed to help it reduce operational costs and enhance communication between office and field operations, following a comprehensive overhaul of TSG's telephony and IT systems.

The modernisation includes a cloud-based telephony system with improved remote-working capabilities, streamlined call handling and enhanced document security.

TSG digital overhaul cuts running costs

Apogee's digital overhaul for TSG implemented a cloud-based telephony system and managed print services.

The telephony system improved remote working and streamlined call handling, while managed print services enhanced document security and reduced printing costs.

These improvements led to a 12% reduction in running costs and better GDPR compliance, which ensures data protection and privacy for EU citizens.

The system now supports TSG workforce across multiple UK offices, including healthcare facilities.

The healthcare sector faces complexities in service demands, whilst delivering a higher quality of service more rapidly and at full capacity.

Apogee assists with imaging services, print management, information management and buy back IT, that ensures old equipment is removed cost effectively with data protected.

Marc Terenzio, Head of IT at TSG, adds: “Apogee’s commitment to IT service management has made a significant difference. There has to be that sufficient level of customer service to ensure we get the best from our technology implementations.”

Apogee's global impact on construction through technology

Apogee's influence extends to providing tailored IT solutions to construction firms worldwide.

Notable clients include J. Murphy & Sons Limited, a leading global, multi-disciplined engineering and construction company.

Apogee implemented a managed print service for the company, consolidating its print and document processes under a single supplier.

Another of its significant construction projects is its work with Travis Perkins, one of the UK's largest builders' merchants.

Apogee helped transform Travis Perkins by replacing its outdated mixed-brand device fleet with an integrated, cloud-based infrastructure.

James Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Apogee

This overhaul included implementing a new scanning function, eliminating 1,500 legacy systems and the installation of 4,500 devices across 2,000 branches.

The modernisation improved workflow processes, enhanced communication and enabled remote monitoring of devices.

It also resulted in the successful delivery and installation of approximately 4,500 devices across over 2,000 Travis Perkins branches in the UK.
