Designs for the slimmest residential building within Europe have been revealed. The Baan Tower has been developed by RED Company, Being Development and Martens Construction, and will have a footprint 20x20m.

Incorporating 47 stories, the tower will be home to 145 spacious apartments of varying sizes, alongside two penthouses, located at the top of the tower.

The apartments will all house stunning views of Rotterdam’s city and skyline, at whch larger sized apartments will also house a private outside area.

The 150-metre tower will be constructed with stone, in keeping with the building’s location and also house a café on the ground floor.

The company informed Dezeen that a five metre high plinth, constructed from travertine stone will be embedded into the base of the construction in order to link with the area’s post war designs.
