TDIC wins AED 370 million Abu Dhabi construction contract

The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has been awarded the main construction contract for Jawaher Saadiyat to Al Jaber Building LLC, following a competitive tendering process. The contract is valued at AED 370 million and based on a 24-month delivery from mobilization on site.

H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori, TDIC’s Chairman of the Board, said: “We are pleased to announce the awarding of the main contract for Jawaher Saadiyat, the latest residential community at the Saadiyat Beach District, which adds to Saadiyat’s appeal as a destination of choice in the market. TDIC has already received much interest from investors for Jawaher due to its prime location overlooking the Saadiyat golf course and the sense of exclusivity it offers to residents. We are confident that once completed, it will drive demand for our real estate offerings on Saadiyat even further.”

Located within the Saadiyat Beach District and overlooking the spectacular views of the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Jawaher Saadiyat will feature 83 exclusive units comprising four to six bedroom villas and 4-bedroom townhouses designed in a contemporary and modern style. The villas’ built-up area ranges from 636 to 1,268 square metres, and include two to four shaded car parks. The townhouses built-up area ranges from 462 to 464 square metres and include two shaded car parks.

The villas have been designed to respect the regional requirements for privacy and serviceability, while embracing and including all the conveniences of a modern lifestyle.  Designed by DSA with interiors by Bishop Design, this modern family-based residence features bold geometrical styles accented by glass, stone and wood that imbue the spacious indoor and outdoor areas with a remarkable, modern aesthetic.

Residents will enjoy easy access to first-class facilities, which include, a security-controlled gate, beautifully landscaped grounds, multi-use games area, a gym, a children’s outdoor playground, adults and children swimming pools, male and female prayer rooms, ample parking for residents and guests, a café, a restaurant, a mini mart, a salon and a linear park.

Jawaher Saadiyat will offer its future residents proximity to some of Saadiyat’s most high-end hospitality, cultural, educational and retail offerings. These include international five-star resorts and leisure facilities within the Saadiyat Beach District such as The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and the Saadiyat Beach Club. The project also sits within walking distance from Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, and in proximity to the Saadiyat Cultural District, home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first museum to open on the island.
