Thomas Bell-Wright International Consultants (TBWIC) has certified PROMETAL’s latched single acting double leaf steel doorset with aluminium decorative cladding.  The door achieved a fire resistance rating of 90 minutes when tested to ANSI/UL 10C at the Thomas Bell-Wright laboratory in Dubai.

TBWIC is the first certified body for fire rated products based within the UAE.

Ayman Odeh, Managing Director of PROMETAL, said: “PROMETAL always aims to combine products & services by providing a total solution as per international standards and local government regulations. We also cater to customized requirements in prestigious projects without compromising safety & security.”

Tom Bell-Wright, CEO & CTO of TBWIC, said: “We are proud of our association with Prometal and ASSA ABLOY.  We believe that our system for labelling doors is particularly robust, since we produce the laser-engraved labels in-house, and each doorset has a unique label which includes a QR code pointing to the certification documentation on our website.  We expect this to differentiate both ourselves and Prometal in our respective marketplaces.”

Thomas Bell-Wright International Consultants (TBWIC) is a Dubai-based, multi-accredited, privately held engineering firm providing independent testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services primarily for the building construction sector.  Mainly focused on large commercial buildings they provide a range of TIC services for building architectural elements, as well as for fire separation and material safety.  Along with the latest addition of product certification, they provide quality and safety testing of exterior wall systems of large buildings, fire containment systems in buildings and materials for reaction to fire.
