Construction: Expanding in industry

The company is working to develop the construction side of its business, reinforcing the growth that it is seeing. Part of this expansion is the new appointment of Neil Armstrong as Partner and Head of Construction.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Neil to the team,” says Thomas Pearson, Partner and Head of Real Estate Commercial at JMW.

“As one of the North West’s most experienced and fastest growing construction and real estate teams with a national reach, I know he will make a significant contribution to our offering.”

Pearson has been at JMW since 2013, having previously been a Partner at DTM Legal, and an Associate at Walker Smith Way Legal.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Armstrong brings unparalleled insight and expertise to JMW’s construction practice, his advisory scope spanning transactional and procurement arrangements, and engineering and development projects within the construction industry.

“This is a unique and exciting opportunity to further develop the JMW Construction offering,” shares Armstrong.

“There are many challenges facing the sector, but also numerous opportunities, both driven by unprecedented change requiring the navigation of broad regulatory reforms, economic fluctuations and geopolitical uncertainties.

“I am confident that the JMW team’s industry expertise and sound understanding of the sector means we are able to meet both challenges and opportunities, continuing to deliver the highest level of legal advice to clients old and new.”
