Turner Wins Third US Air Force Modernisation Award
The US Air Force Materiel Command are launching the third phase of its modernisation programme with a contract ceilinged at US$900m.
Turner stands out among awardees as an exemplar of the expanded skillset defence infrastructure projects now demand.
The programme supports military ground-testing facilities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), with Turner, as well as Burns & McDonnell and Amentum, among eight contractors selected for a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract.
AECOM Employs Modular Approach To Fast-Track Surgical Hubs
Global construction giant AECOM is using the modular approach to deliver four of six surgical hubs for the Health Service Executive (HSE) of the Republic of Ireland (ROI), which manages the country’s public health and social care services.
AECOM is employing a rapid-build construction solution, which uses a single design across three sites to help expedite the decision-making process and delivery of the projects.
“AECOM is proud to support the HSE’s efforts in this key area, building on the deep bench of expertise held by our team in Ireland as they help deliver critical infrastructure across the country, ” says Stuart Griffin, Director for Ireland at AECOM.
MAIRE, Fluor and Bechtel Opt for Octave AI
Octave Intelligence, an independent enterprise which provides partners with industry-tailored Software as a Service (SaaS) , will collaborate with MAIRE to integrate its multi-agent AI software into the engineering giant’s operational workflows.
Octave was launched by industrial technology leader Hexagon in 2026, combining its Asset Lifecycle Intelligence and Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial divisions into a separate identity.
Drawing on Hexagon’s 51 years of industrial expertise, the company creates software solutions to enhance performance and mitigate risk across all stages of an asset’s lifecycle.
It launched its Octave CoLabs programme in July 2026, which develops specialised agentic AI to organise, enhance and consult upon firms’ unique workflows.
Collaboration Key to Sir Robert McAlpine Broadgate Success
Established in March 2016, the Broadgate Framework agreement between major property development and investment firm, British Land, and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) focuses on six landmark projects in UK construction.
Sir Robert McAlpine has served as the main contractor to deliver the partners’ vision to transform the London area of Broadgate into a world-class destination for retail, leisure and commercial use, where visitors can work, shop, dine and drink.
