How Clotilde Solier Has Become Bouygues Constructionâs CFO

Clotilde Solier is the Chief Financial Officer of Bouygues Construction, the âŹ10.6bn (US$12.2bn) construction arm of the Bouygues group.
She took up the role on 1 September 2026, joining the Executive Committee led by Chief Executive Pierre-Eric Saint-AndrĂŠ.
Clotilde succeeds Julien Toqueboeuf, who has moved to Equans, a fellow Bouygues subsidiary.
Her appointment places a long-serving internal candidate at the head of financial steering for a business employing 34,500 people across more than 50 countries.
Thanks to the experience I have acquired at Bouygues Construction, I have gained a thorough understanding of its business lines and teams
A career built inside the group
Clotilde, 48, is a graduate of NEOMA Business School and has spent nearly her entire career within the Bouygues group, moving across several of its business lines.
- Management control at Bouygues Energies et Services, now part of Equans from 2002
- Financial control at Bouygues Construction
- Oversight of the financial operations of Axioneâs Concessions division from 2009
- Internal audit at Bouygues Construction from 2015
- Financial control at Bouygues Bâtiment International from 2018, alongside a role as CFO for the USAâCaribbean region
âThanks to the experience I have acquired at Bouygues Construction, I have gained a thorough understanding of its business lines and teams, both in France and internationally,â she says. âIn my new role, I will draw on this experience in a position that works closely with operational teams, combining risk management, performance and business development support.â
Her most recent role
Immediately before her promotion, Clotilde served as CFO of Bouygues Bâtiment France, the group's domestic building division, a position she held from 2021.
In that role, she is credited with consolidating the fundamentals of the group's risk management function and improving the quality of financial reporting, while increasing the use of data to support operational performance.
That combination of risk discipline and data-driven decision-making is the experience she now applies at group level.
Her predecessor, Julien Toqueboeufâs move within the same corporate group, to Equans, keeps the leadership transition internal at both companies rather than bringing in outside candidates.
