Merlo America: Areas Set to See the Most Construction Growth

New data from equipment manufacturer Merlo America and predictive buyer intel platform  BiltData.ai reveal the five US states set to see the most growth in construction by 2031.

Their Construction Spending and Data Center Demand in the U.S. by 2031 report  forecasts that California, Texas, Florida, New York and New Jersey will represent around 42% of US construction spending by 2031. 

The report also reveals that the US’ 10 most metropolitan areas will collectively account for more than 33% of the nation’s construction spending.

Dornan's Irish Data Centre Project Amid Energy Challenge

Dornan, a Turner company, has marked two significant early milestones on a €48m (US$56m) data centre development in Ireland.

The company is serving as general contractor, with responsibility for the project’s civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical scopes. Ruth will assist the company’s clients at all stages of venue development, from initial strategising to sustainability consultancy and supporting their long-term legacy.

Having joined Mott MacDonald in 2023 as Technical Director, Ruth has maintained a focus on sustainability, resilience and climate adaptation, obtaining an MBE for her services to sustainable engineering in the 2026 New Year Honours List.

Aecom’s Advisor role for Australia High-Speed Rail Project​​​​​​​

Construction powerhouse, Aecom is assuming the role of Environmental Planning and Assessment Advisor for the Development Phase of the Australian Government’s Newcastle to Sydney High Speed Rail project.
