McLaren Construction Group moves HQ to Canary Warf

McLaren Construction Group moves its headquarters from its historic home in Essex to Canary Warf, London at Churchill Place

Following the consolidation of its London and South of England business units, McLaren Construction Group will relocate its headquarters (HQ) in September. The group will move from its historic home in Essex to Canary Warf, London at Churchill Place.

Designed as a collaborative space, the relocation comes in response to an increase in mixed-use work, creating a centre of excellence for the group, and allowing individuals to broaden their experience across a more diverse range of sectors.

“I will be pleased to see McLaren colleagues working together day in, day out, sharing ideas, experience, and specialist knowledge of sectors, geographies, and technologies. The best way to achieve that is to bring people together in one place and one team [...] The scale and character of this new headquarter reflects McLaren’s growth and transformation,” commented Kevin Taylor, Chairman and Co-Founder of McLaren Construction Group.

With a turnover of US$922m in 2022, McLaren Construction Group has a Midlands and North office, a supplementary office in Cheshire, and a United Arab Emirates (UAE) business based in Dubai. With 240 staff relocating to the new office, the division will be led by Managing Director Darren Gill.

Additional sector leads will include:

“Our market has evolved. Repurposing from one use to another is common, single buildings have multiple uses, and placemaking in some of our larger projects means the community lives, works, and plays in self-contained new neighbourhoods. Our people need experience in all the common sectors – their complexities and how they fit together. The London & South region has the scale to offer that experience and to nurture industry-leading expertise,” said Paul Heather, Group Managing Director at McLaren Construction.
