Trimble partners with Propeller Aero Unmanned Aircraft System solutions
Trimble, a developer of GPS technology, optical and inertial technologies, application software, wireless communications and services to provide commercial solutions, has announced that it has partnered with Propeller Aero to distribute its Unmanned Aircraft System analytics platform.
Propeller Aero, a Sydney and Denver based company, is a market leader in the collection, visualisation and analysis of data obtained through its UAS solutions. Through an automated set of ground control targets, cloud-based visualisation and rapid analysis platforms will bring a complete end-to-end cloud-based UAS solution the construction space.
Through Propeller Aero, users can “unlock the full value” of UAS information. Users can access simple measurement tools for surface geometry, track trends and changes across time as well as perform visual inspections.
Insights can be obtained through the UAS solutions, both locally and from remote locations and collaborate which will significantly deliver improvements in safety, efficiency and huge reductions in environmental impacts across construction worksites.

This is just a further example of Trimble investing in technology solutions to enhance its offering to the construction industry. In January 2017, Construction Global spoke to Aviad Almago, Director of the Mixed Reality Programme at Trimble, as he discussed how the HoloLens from Microsoft has proven advantageous to the construction industry.
