Bechtel has opened a new office in Los Angeles to meet the increasing infrastructure needs in the region and wider state. The global leader in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), will see its new LA office offering a range of services from master planning to project delivery.

The Los Angeles team is led by Bechtel principal vice president Don Wright, whose experience spans North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He has recently directed airport expansions in Las Vegas, Nev., and Muscat, Oman and has previously managed other large-scale infrastructure projects and first-of-a-kind design-build rail projects, such as the Southern New Jersey Light Rail Transit System.

"We are excited to expand our presence in Los Angeles and collaborate with new partners to provide smart, sustainable solutions that help drive continued growth for the region and the state," said Wright.

Over Bechtel's 120-year history, the company has developed and delivered some of the California's signature infrastructure, such as the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART) and Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System in the Mojave Desert.

"We are committed to helping our customers to invest in, connect and power communities, and look forward to further contributing to California's infrastructure legacy," said Scott Osborne, general manager of Bechtel's infrastructure business in the Americas.
